There are stuff that are needed to be packed cautiously and require packaging materials, like bubble wrap or vacuum packaging, to keep it safe while in transit. A wooden finishing for fragile materials like this is definitely needed so it won’t get any damage inside the transportation vehicle. However, it must be sealed properly, so that it won’t break easily just in case it got beat up.
